The Wisconsin Readiness Equity Network has undertaken a multi-phase, multi-year project that builds on video documentation of 16 WREN teachers chosen by their districts for their educationally rich play pedagogy. In 2019, our research team recorded videos of play-based teaching in partner district 4K and 5K classrooms. We then used these in interviews with teachers as a foundation for professional development, now called the Play Video Library. Our research team has reviewed, coded, and edited over 72 hours of classroom footage and teacher interviews to create the Play Video Library.
Teachers and administrators in our partner districts will be able to access the library in 2020 as part of their 4K and 5K teacher professional development.
